Why FL Mediator Exists
Marcelo Prado founded FL Mediator in 2011 driven by a deep passion to help families navigate the most challenging times of their lives. His motivation was deeply personal: he had witnessed firsthand — and experienced himself — the devastating impact that traditional litigation can have on families and, most importantly, on children.
Having suffered the effects of family litigation, Marcelo saw how the adversarial nature of the legal system exacerbates conflict, erodes relationships, and leaves lasting scars. He faced injustices in the family court system, yet remained grateful for the opportunity to assert his rights as a parent through the powers of the court. That journey gave him a profound understanding of the emotional toll families endure.
Today, as a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator, Marcelo brings that empathy and experience to every case. He is dedicated to being an impartial, compassionate facilitator who helps parents and families find common ground — and avoid the heartache that so often accompanies litigation. His passion lies in creating a supportive environment where families can resolve conflicts constructively and move forward with peace and clarity.
